I was driving home tonight and this guy was talking on the radio about Iran and Israel. Was making many references to Hilter and nuclear weapons. The station kept going in and out. I don't know if it was news or just someone giving an opinion. Can someone tell me what is going on please?

  1. Israel and Iran have been feuding so to speak for decades.  Some history, Iran does not recognize Israel as a state and Israel considers Iran a threat to its security.  There are also many other factors at play which explain the animosity between the two nations, but I can't really list them all here.

As for the Hitler reference, that is more or less Western propaganda towards the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who at one point was quoted as saying that "Israel should be wiped off the face of the map."

Depending on your source, most knowledgeable people in Middle East politics would know that he referenced a quote by the Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Though he also claimed that the holocaust is a "myth", thus we now have western media labeling Ahmadinejad as "Hitler" because of his opinions.

The reason you heard this on the radio is because the world headlines have been dominated between the growing tension between the US and Israel over Iran's nuclear ambitions.  Iran claims that nuclear technology is their right and its being used for peaceful purposes.  Israel and several Western nations believe that Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons, as they believe that Iran has no need for nuclear technology as they have an abundant amount of resources (oil).

Without getting into too much detail, the UN has been sanctioning Iran as a result of their nuclear ambitions.  Meanwhile, Israel recently rehersed a mock attack on Iran, while Iran in the past few days have rehersed a missile response to any attack against their nuclear facilities.

So what you heard is simply the latest developements between the growing tension between the two nations.

Feel free to email me if you require more info.

    I hope that helps.

  2. Okay, Iranian media reported the government fired a series of missiles Thursday in a second day of (supposed) long-range missile testing.  American radar and satellite data DO NOT back up that claim, though it is possible Iran tested short-range missiles, according to the U.S. military official.

The tests -- or Tehran's effort to convince the world it was testing -- represent Iran's response to what it says are threats from the United States and Israel. They also dramatize the ongoing saber-rattling between Israel and Iran.

"If Washington and Tel Aviv are foolish enough to even consider attacking Iran, our initial response would be to target Israel and set U.S. interests in the Persian Gulf ablaze," Ali Shirazi, an aide to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Tuesday.

In my opinion when Israel decided on their defensive measures, Iran wanted to try show the world that they think they are c**k of the walk. CNN says the State Dept.released a statement that the footage of Iran's missle tests were digitally altered/enhanced to greatly exaggerate their show of force.  Once again another typification of how ridiculous they are.  Don't let it worry you too much...yet.

    They are nuts after all.

Read what CNN reported on the posturing at link below:

  3. Iran has a uranium enrichment program, they insist is to refine fuel for nuclear power plants. However they can also build a nuclear bomb with it which has Israel's panties in a knot because Iran has often called for the destruction of Israel in the past. So Israel and the U.S. demand that Iran halt their uranium enrichment and Iran refused.

Now Israel then said some threatening things to Iran and strutted some stuff and then the US said it is ready to stand behind Israel if it went to war with Iran so Iran supposedly decided to strut their stuff and do some missle tests which the U.S. claims it didn't actually do.

  4. Iran has made past statements on how Israel should be wiped off of the map, and how it has no right to exist. That pres of that country is a real looney toon, and his cabinet is not really behind him and his tom foolery. Israel recently conducted war games with alot of their military troops and Air fire power. It was meant to be impressive and was. Iran is now rattled at the thought of Israel attacking them first, and know that they will be at the losing end of the stick. The U.S. is Israels biggest client of military hardware, and Israel has all of the U.S. most recent technology available. The United States gives Israel Billions annually to Israel, in order to maintain a strong ally in the middle east, and to keep them militarily strong in case of any threats. This is all documented in the news and on U.S. Gov't books. Read up on it, it is really quite interesting.

  5. Iran is having fun bluffing the world by running missile tests in order to jack up oil speculation commodity prices which causes a lot of financial problems for the Western World, in addition cause they put on a show everyone spends a ton more money on military expenditures that further strains countries financially and hopefully as far as Iran is concerned causes such countries to collapse... the countries that act like this love fear mongering and terrorizing their own people for self profits of those at the top

    any more questions

if anyone attacks Iran, a global war is likely to errupt, and Iran has no reason to attack as it does way more damage by bluffing the possibility that it could attack

  6. Basically Israel is very nevrous and worried that if Obama becomes a president, Israel is not going to be able control US politics like they have been doing for the past 8 years. They are doing everything they can to instigate Iran into a war while Bush is in the office. Oh by the way, Israel does not want to use its own troops, they want US to fight for them.
