What's going on with Mark Spitz? Why is he not being interviewed with the Olympic records going on?

Just wondering if hes a recluse or gone? I keep thinking with all the talk and swimming metals and all that he should be an announcer or they should at least be interviewing him or doing a history film,show or something....is NBC mad at him?

they will defiantly  interview him if phelps wins all 8 medals. or at least tries. they will, im not even sure if Mark Spitz is there.

He was just interviewed on the today show yesterday morning.  He looks great and he is rooting for Michael Phelps.

Apparently, despite his prestige in the field of Olympic swimming, Spitz was never offered an invitation to the Beijing Games. Feeling snubbed, he refused to anonymously attend the games (that is, without an official invitation or media coverage). He has, however, stated that he has no hard feelings towards Michael Phelps for pushing him off the throne.
