What's going on with the waves?

I heard that the beaches are closed, is that true? Thanks!

Currently most beaches on the north coast have red flags due to the high waves and strong undercurrents.

Local forcasts is for waves up to 25 feet in some areas tomorrow (thurs Mar 20) and Friday

swimmers and surfers have been warned to stay out of the water. So I guess, there will be plenty of surfers trying their luck with this big surf

yes. this doesn't happen hundredhts of year ago. It like have a hurricane but without the wind and the rain. Waves are right now in 25 feets.

Public  beaches are  open..just be carefull with the currents...
