  1. The economy is going to get better and people will figure out soon that global warming isnt the threat that we have been led to believe by Al Gore.

  2. economy is because of our president bush. thats that answer. global warming is happening but i heard on some science show that ice melting because its 4.5 billion years old. they said since its so old it melts. all ice has to melt sometime and they say it will refreeze over sometime like 1 to 2 years so dont worry ice that old it should be melting its totally natural. thats the answer to ur question. but  we should still stop pollution.

  3. Everything will be okay.  We may head for a recession.  For now we are currently not in a recession.  Our GDP growth is positive.  Only when it reaches negative will we be in a recession.  However, if we get in one (which we definitely could), I don't think it'd get much worse.  Sure, it won't be awesome for the economy and yes people will be hurt, but it certainly won't be as bad as conditions were in the 1930s or as in Zimbabwe right now.  We are not going to have THAT deep of a recession.  Nor will we get a depression.

Panic is not good.  Panic only makes things worse.

Contrary to what one person responded, I don't think its ALL because of Bush (economy).  A part of it is.  Bush has made mistakes.  One of the big ones was giving tax cuts to the rich.  Another was spending too much on the war, which increased deficits.  A third mistake was giving the rich much benefit from the tax cuts themselves.  However, other big causes of the economy going poorly were lenders giving mortgages to people who couldn't pay them back, sometimes they scammed people into obtaining them, lowered production of oil, increased demand for oil worldwide, high food prices that have been partially contributed by high gas prices, bad weather which has reduced crops and caused gas prices to go up, overdependence on oil, and the wars contributing to high gas prices (it causes tension, as relations with Iran have done so too).

Things will get better though.  Its 'normal' for an economy to go through booms and busts.  Reason why I put ' ' around normal was because I didn't want to seem like I liked recessions/busts.  But yes economies go through booms/busts.  We are in a bust and we will rise.  Our economy has been through problems that are very bad- depression in well 70 years before and the 1970s economic problems- and made it.  Things aren't that bad today-- inflation is not great but its moderate /not high.  In addition, our economy is strong and there is some light (esp with some predictions that oil prices have peaked).  So things will improve.

As for global warming, I am in concurrence- its a problem.  It has to be solved.  However, I don't think people need to panic.  However, the government must take action.  They need to give incentives to companies to create more alternate energy.  Also, they need to invest in clean energy as well- but not too much or else our nation will be in a HUGE deficit (or bigger if we don't solve the budget problem).  Moreover, we need to give tax breaks and rewards to companies who start switching to clean energy and those who develop great technologies (I like John McCain's plan to reward them and well I like Obama's plans too).  Global warming is occuring currently and has caused some weather changes, but its not something to overly worry.

Actually nothing in life is worth worrying to the point in panicking and overworrying.  I understand there are concerns. And I am not against people having concerns- its perfectly normal and fine to.  But I just don't think people need to panic.  Because panic doesn't help, rather people need to work for solutions.  Cut back on spending (people personal spending) and own buying-- and when government gives tax breaks (which I hope it does) to the middle class, they should spend it carefully-- and people need to buy products or stuff that is using clean energy.

  4. We will adapt to global warming, in whatever way we innovative humans do, and the economy will eventually turn around.
