is using baking soda or peroxide going to make my swollen gums less swollen?

i have braces and i brush my teeth 3 times a day.

  1. eek! find out why they are swollen! until then use a salt water solution, or saline from the drugstore to soothe your tender gums. peroxide or baking soda are a bit too harsh (acidic) for something that's swollen!
