  1. it is cold rain - so cold it is frozen.

it is actually pure water so you can l**k it, suck it and chew on it.

  2. Hail is basically just rain that has frozen before it hit the ground. I would wait to leave shelter until the hail stops to avoid getting hit, but after it stops falling, hail is not of any danger.

  3. its kinda like rain and snow and ice mixed up into one big ball!

  4. Hail is frozen water particles. Usually when rain is formed it starts off as snowflakes and comes down to earth. When it gets closer to the ground, the snow melts which causes rain. Sometimes when its cold enough, the  snowflakes melt only a little bit. This causes them to stick together. When it reaches the ground you have hail! Little pieces of ice stuck together and vary in size and shape!

As for picking it up, go for it! Its only water! XD

  5. It's a place bad people go.. hahah...   It is really frozen precipitation from a thunderstorm.

  6. Actually, rain that freezes before hitting the ground is called sleet. Hail is completely different. Hail is formed in thunderclouds (usually in spring and summer) when snow is compressed, lifted, packed with more snow, falls, compresses, gets lifted again, etc, until it is too heavy to be lifted anymore, and then it falls. Large, high thunderclouds can have temperatures well below freezing even when it is 90 degrees near the ground. In winter, hail is rare because there is not enough energy or moisture in the atmosphere. Any ice you see falling in winter is sleet. What you see in summer is hail.

Of course, if you live in a warm climate, you may get hail in winter too. Hail needs warm weather.

  7. Oh yea its safe, silly! It's just ice.

  8. Hailstorms are dangerous.Beware:Hail can be as big as the size of a baseball. You don't want to risk your life being hit by one.You could meet your death in a hurry. It would be okay to get one once the storm has stopped and you know it for sure.
