d**n Good Question, Many Bands Do This Though, They Stay Quiet! The Kaiser Chiefs Have Been Quiet, And now they have a new album on the way. The Fray Have Disappeared as well.

i think they are coming out with a new album fairly soon considering a single just was released. they are by no means broken up and i would expect a tour
