Question:

What's happening with my eyes?

My eyes used to be full on blue but since i reached my pre-teen and teenage years they have changed to a bluey-green which gets lighter towards the pupil. However just around the pupil there is a browny, yellow colour which mixes into the rest of the bluey colour.

I've heard of iridology (not sure how it's spelt!) and certain colours indicate what's going on with the rest of your body.

If so, what do you think my eye colour is indicating?

Thanks :)

  1. i heard that your eye colour changes when you reach a certain age. Most people are born with Blue eyes, some then go on to change to other colours.

i can't remember where i heard this, and have no idea if its true... but you know =D

  2. I'm not an optometrist, but from what I've read, eye color changes with age in 10-15 percent of American Caucasians.

It also can (rarely) signal the onset of eye trouble.

On the other hand, if you're wondering if this all means something about your energy field, personality or spiritual path, some things I found online say that the brownish, hazel-y part around your pupil may indicate a "sluggish colon."

Well, you should always be careful to get enough fiber. But don't go crazy with the iridology stuff; it might be fun and provide some insight, but it really is a pseudoscience.

If you're concerned about the color change, you should get an eye exam by a qualified physician.

  3. Hey,

    I'm not so sure

but i have been having the same thing i got told it can be you not eating enough fruit & veggies or drinking enough water!

or even having a wheat allergy!! i started drinking more water & they went from brown to green!! so maybe you could give something like that a try?? hope this helps a little :) <3

  4. oh... i was about to post a massive answer on how some people's eyes just change randomly, but then i saw the iridology part... haha sorry, i don't know much about that, but in case you were reeeeeally stuck on why they're changing colour, it might not mean anything. i know sometimes people's eye colour changes when they become a teenager because of eratic hormones and all that stuff you probably don't want too much detail on... haha but wikipedia sounded like it didn't like the idea of iridology too much... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridology#C...

i've never heard of iridology before... it sounds really interesting. but yeah. hope you get a more informative answer, haha :)
