  1. Well it's all the same weight, isn't it. With watter it must be full.

  2. they all have different a density

a gallon is a gallon, but volume weight will differ per item

  3. well they all weigh the same really, sorry but i don't gallons,

for example, you have a bath tub that can hold 50 litres, and you have a sack of potatoes that are 50 kilograms (just an example, no one sells 50 kilograms of potatoes) you put it into the bath tub, then it will displace all the water. this is a one of the rules archmides, or was it aristotle  i forgot, but one of them found this out. 25litres of water in a tub and the tub can hold 50, and you add a sack of 20 kilograms of potatoes, then you have 45 litres gained in your bath tub.

    1 kilogram=1litre

  4. Lead, and they don't all weigh the same. The gallon is a measurement of volume not weight.

Lead has an atomic mass of 207.2

Water has a molecular mass of 18

Iron, which is basically non refined steel, has an atomic mass of  55.85

Sand is mostly silicon, which has an atomic mass of 28.2

  5. The 50 gallon drum of steal is the lightest... BECAUSE IT'S ALREADY GONE!

  6. Steel... do you plan on lifting 50 gallon drums of steel and/or dropping aforementioned tub of metallic goods on to someone you despise?

  7. LOL at all these people who read this like the ton of feathers vs ton of bricks joke.

    Fail.

  8. Steel is the most dense and weighs the most by volume.

  9. all weigh the same ... lol.... and it's spelled 'steel' ...... oops.  you got me ..... good one!

  10. well water would be the lightest, but i think that sand might be the heaviest..then a tie between lead and steal...most people don't know how HEAVY sand really is.....try carrying 3 sandbags....it will feel like you are lifting huge weights!
