What's in edible paper that makes it edible?

I had some the other day, and I was wondering if it's actually made of wood pulp still or if they make it with something else.

    little bits of rice pulped up and pressed to make paper from it.

  5. Well regular paper is technically edible because nothing in it can harm you in any way shape or form. But Edible paper is made with rice or grain which is edible...
