Just looking for some ideas...

I know it isn't really a hunting category question, but I thought I'd get the best answers here.

  1. 9MM handgun with 100 rounds of ammo, flashlight, canned food - vegall, beef jerky, energy bars, gum etc, small wool blanket, 2 way radios, all band radio, first aid kit, knife, plastic tarp, matches, low power LED light, extra socks & undies, shirt, a couple of tools, duct tape, nylon rope, razor blades, mace & pepper spray and a couple of other things..... NOT in the kit but in the bug out jeep is a 12 gauge Mossberg pump shotgun......

  2. I originally purchased a 72 hour kit from The Ready Store, and then I added to it. The kit came with: 3600 Cal. Food Bars, 9 water packets, light sticks, Radio, Flashlight, Matches, Candle, Tent, Poncho, Blanket, Hand Warmers, Compass/Whistle, Knife, Respirator Mask, First Aid Kit, Hygene Kit (Soap, TP, razor, etc).

I then customized it a bit and added to it: I included fire-starters, lighters, personal papers, a 357 pistol and a Henry breakdown .22 survival rifle, and money.

At my farm ( where i always felt I'd go in an emergency) I've stockpiled generators, 6 months worth of foods, bullet reloading equipment, and more.

  3. 87 assault wheelbarrows

  4. Might not be hunting but it is a timely question

A few years ago I was on another forum discussing BOBs and some kid from New Orleans started ridiculing us calling us Ninjas and such

Thats was around August 25 of 2005, we never heard from the kid again

One BOB is always in my car and I have them "layered"

All my cars have a three day BOB with the very basics

Water, first aid,  quick food like energy bars and MRE entres along with the knife, flashlite,  and gun that is always on me and the tool kits that all cars should have in them

My Evac bag has a change of clothes and most importantly socks

MRE meals more water and a filtration kit, rain gear and shelter along with a breakdown 22 rifle and better personal firearms to last at least a week

My stay put kit is much more indepth with enough food, water and ammo is make a Katrine stand for at least two weeks along with emergency electrical systems

All these combined make me self sufficient for about a month before I have to start making new plans

  5. I have two BOB's

well one, the one I carry all the time in my truck, its more of behind the back seat storage than a bag

    3 days MRE type meals

    2 cases of bottled water

Ruger Blackhawk in 30 carbine with 100 rounds

    3 days clothes

    1 big first-aid kit

    weather radio

    and a small tent

The Evac/Bug Out is a 6x14 box trailer

    2ea 4-wheelers

    1ea gun safe - loaded

    1ea gun safe - ammo

    4ea gun lockers - food

1ea medium sized fire safe with important papers and photos

2ea gun lockers - bottled water

    2ea large wall tents

    1ea medium dome tent

    1ea generator

1ea solar system (3 panels 75 watt each and batteries)

    35 gallon gasoline

    55 gallon diesel

This is towed behind the 30 stock trailer with 7 riding horses and 3 pack horses in it.

Everything I need to go away for a month and not need to rely on anybody but myself

  6. I'm planning on bugging in. But I keep a bag in the car to get home from work or wherever I might. Cheap Mosin carbine with extra ammo, knife, boots, extra clothes, 1st aid, flashlite, etc.

Everything a nurse needs to get home in case bad things happen and I have to walk.

  7. Don't have one. You couldn't pry me out of my house with a crowbar. I am setup here to live for quite some time.
