Thank you so much momshieb. I knew there were simple items I was forgetting. I do have some alchol pads so I'll throw those in. I'll pick the rest up tomorrow.

Anyone else?

  1. im a lifeguard and all we really need as far as first aid is a ton of guaze and trauma pad (oversized guaze for big wounds) and wrap. this is stuff you can not get enough of! also get a CPR mask and learn how to use from a cpr class (red cross). keep a knife or better heavy heavy duty scissors (EMT shears) to cut off clothing to get to a wound site.

  2. I have been camping with three kids for YEARS (they are now grown, but all had allergies and asthma, so have done the first aide thing)

I would add: cortisone cream for bug bites, some type of antiseptic (like betadyne or hydrogen peroxide), an ace bandage, and two of those ice packs that only get cold when you bang them (ask your pharmacist or a local sports coach).  I agree that you need the tweezers, benadryl and tylenol!

  3. All you need is a cell phone and a hand gun.   If you feel the need to pack more elaborately I suggest tossing in some bagels and cream cheese...  :)~
