Question:

What's it called when you don't have working knowledge but you are above theoretical knowledge

  1. The easiest way to explain this is that a "working knowledge" is more like "common sense" type of things or a "learned skill".  Whereas "theoretical knowledge" is "learned, acquired or book knowledge".  I don't think there is actually an actual "title" for it but it's just that you have more "book sense" than you have "common sense".  I've dealt with the exact same problem my entire life and turned out just wonderful!!!  And it isn't a Nerd, and if they chose to call you that be proud, it's usually the Nerds that are the first in their HIgh School & College Classes to make a million bucks!!!
