  1. If you are looking to own a sandwich shop, Subway is the way

to go. No royalties. You pay a flat amount to Subway each

month and the rest is yours to keep.

Basically you pay subway to use their name. Hope that helped.

  2. Last year 91% of all franchisees in the UK reported making a profit so there is money to be made.  Costs of buying a franchise can be quite high although this is generally the case when setting up any kind of new business.

If you are thinking about buying a franchise you need to weigh up whether the quality of the brand, number of potential customers and the support offered are worth the initial investment.

  3. It's an incredible adventure.  I don't own a Quizno's but I am part of a franchise in the telecommunciations industry.  The fees are minimal and I don't pay royalties.  Instead, the small fee I pay yearly is for the corporation to handle all the office type work such as my accounts payables, accounts receivables, Inventory, drop shipping, payroll, employees, customer service, Order Entry, workman's comp etc.  The yearly fee is under $200 a year.  So with my business I don't have the fee's that your talking about or having to pay any royalties.

  4. Quiznos controls every aspect of your business and requires you to buy ALL your supplies from their "authorized suppliers".  The prices from their authorized suppliers are higher than you would pay buying from local suppliers because the franchisor gets a kickback from the supplier...  plus you have to pay royalties and advertising royalties to the company, and honor all coupons the company sends out, even if you lose money on each coupon, and you still have to pay the royalty, so you lose even more.  Quiznos is being sued by many of their franchisees.
