  1. Well, Prague is quite a diversified city: there is the downtown district, which is considered to be one of the most beatiful towns in Europe, with the Castle, palaces, bridges and everything you would see on any Prague postcard, but there are also semi-modern, early 20th century districts (mostly worker's quarters) that surround it and altought they are not as popular, they have it's charm. And, of course, new socialist and post-socialist housing estates that enclose that all and have no charm at all :-) There are also many villas, parks and so on, which is I think unusual for a city of such a size.

  2. Handy if your touring Europe. Prague is not worth the trip alone. It is more expensive than it is worth, especially for restaurants. Prague castle is a nice attraction, along with the mini eiffel tower you use a funicular railway to reach. The airport is sort of far and has connections to every major city in Europe, as well as Ryanair operates from there. There are nice places to simply drink coffee, but make sure of prices first. It is quite packed in summer. The streets and building faces are quite dirty. The east of town is sort of run down, avoid the bus or train station they are both horrible sights.  So yeah may be worth a night or two nights, no more.
