I know that some careers aren't all they're cracked up to be. I was a model and traveled so much but I couldn't tell you much about it because I worked every single day.

I love meeting people and traveling and want to do something that involves both, I wan't to know the good and bad of being a flight attendant?

  1. If you have worked a long time with the airline and have built up seniority, it is not a bad job.  When you just started, you get the flights people don't want such as the last flight of the day or the first flight of the day in which you have to wake up at 4:00 am.  It also depends on the airline.  If you work for Singapore Airlines, all their flights are international.  If you work for a commuter airline, then you may travel to different cities but will not go international.

The pay for the first year is pretty low.  But maybe you can earn more money if there are flights that do not have flight attendants scheduled to serve.

You will meet a lot of people being a flight attendant and you will be able to see different cities.  Depending on your scheduled layover, you may not get much of a chance to see the city.
