What's it like to live in sweden for people in early 20's?

Might be moving there for a job, but i won't know anyone, are the people friendly? do most speak english? can i take language lessons? what's the nightlife like? i'll either be in gothenburg or stockholm

  1. You will love the Scandinavians are such great folk, you should be able to go to school in some capacity to learn the language and if your living there you will pick it up no bother, you'll love it.


  2. Everyone that ever travels there is surprised to what level strangers can be friendly to you. English is mandatory in school, so most people will speak it, doesn't mean they will want to though. You can take any language lessons anywhere.

  3. my friend moved to sweden after graduating from university.  she found a swedish class, where she made a lot of english speaking friends.

    once she had had a few lessons she felt more confident to go out and speak to/meet swedish people.

    shje loves it over there, and now has a husband and a baby.  the standard of living is so much better than in the UK.
