I want to travel a little and I thought this might be a good idea to travel and work at the same time. Are you able to go into the ports and explore? What are the working conditions like?

  1. I did it 10 years, loved it.

first as a receptionist with Carnival, then with Harding Bros

    www.hardingbros.co.uk

which is a concession that runs gift shops and spas on some 50 ships of different cruise lines.

Just make sure you get a staff position, not a crew one.

Staff have a much better life onboard.

The gift shops are a  nice place to work cause you usually dont work while in port due to duty free regulations etc... so you can go out etc.

hardings is easy to get in

the interviews are over the phone, unless you are in the UK.

Also its really easy to sell duty free stuff to people onboard who are already in a buying mood.

Good luck, more questions email me
