I got a new scanner but am unable to download pictures onto my blog without this jpeg. address attached. I don't even know what that is and it didn't work to just change the label either. Can you help?

  1. when you scan an image by scanner itself, default may be tif file, if you use photoshop import twain then you have options to save from program as other file extensions in drop down menu, check "save", "save as"and "export" options,

you want to open image in scanner photo editing software, ans save as other , jpg, gif or png for web use,

you can use twain through programs, but note higher quality images as tif may be larger and reusable, if you don't need tif format, scan at higher resolution 300+, and save as jpg,  edit copy for web use, then upload to blog,

yahoo uses flickr as online album, if needed, to link images to your blog and others,

    Flickr - Photo Sharing

Picasa is album viewer if needed,

    http://picasa.google.com/

Gimp  is picture editor if needed,

    ..

  2. a Jpeg is a compressed version of a picture.

If you take a Bitmap and convert it to a JPG you will notice a large difference in size.

The extension of a Jpeg is .jpg

usualy BLOG sites have a maximum size for a picture file. make sure your jpg file is smaller than the limit.

You can convert and reduce your picture size with Microsoft Imaging. I believe Microsoft Paint is also capable.
