  2. COME ON MAN!!, Bruce Lee started mixed fighting styles as a trend!!!

  3. many but his base style was wing chun :)***

  4. Who is Bruce Lee?

  5. Bruce Lee studied mainly wing chun, boxing, fencing, and jujitsu as you can see in enter the dragon he studied many many arts that most people dont know about such as savate roman greco wrestling but only took what (he) could use so my advice would be the same and diffrent cause your not bruce lee so what he thought was useful might not work for you, you must see for yourself and apply what works for you and add it to your arsenal his compilation of arts was named jeet kune do but its more a philosophy than a physical form trying to convince people not to constrict themselves with one style and not to take on the same mistakes as everyone else in his be like shapeless like water and become everything

  6. he started with Ti Chi then studied wing chung .before he created jeet kung do

  7. Wing Chun in Hong Kong, then he studied a variety of styles in the US and his own style was Jeet Kune Do - now this is basically two separate styles:  Original Jeet Kune Do which teaches what Bruce Lee taught and Jeet Kune Do concepts which teaches whatever the teacher feels would be useful in a street fight.

  8. Bruce studied Wing Chun and said it was the best style when he was young, but he later invented his own style spelled various ways with Roman letters, since it uses Chinese symbols. It might be Jit Kun Do, Jeet Koon Doe, Jeat Kune Dou, etc. In movies, he added some footwork from American boxing and high kicks from Korean Tae Kwan Do, since Wing Chun kicks go no higher than the knee. Bruce's Chinese name was Li Jun-Faan, and in Hong Kong movies , he was billed as Li Sai-Lung= Little Dragon Lee, for he was born in both a year and an hour of the Dragon. James Yim Lee was taught by Bruce and himself taught Wing Chun in Oakland. Sil Lum or Siu Lam are merely the Cantonese ways to say Mandarin Shao Lin = Young Forest, the name of a Chan Buddhist temple where Bhodidharma from India introduced exercises based upon movements of animals in the 6th Century that evolved into martial arts. Shao Lin or Sil Lum covers all of the Buddhist striking styles in China, and Tai Chi Chuan is the general term for Taoist striking styles. Chin Na covers grappling styles. Bruce studied only a small part of Chinese boxing.

  9. Bruce studied Wing Chun Kung Fu as a student in Ip Man's school in Hon Cong China. He  came to the USA before he completed his training. Is instructor was William Cheung. Bruce developed Jeet Kune do as a philosophy on the applications of martial arts. This was a work in progress when he died. Before he died he published  what was to be the first part sort of defining principals. His family has continued to benefit from editing and releasing  his work over the years since his death.

  10. Kung fu and wu chuan.

  11. karate

  12. Bruce Lee was trained in WIng chun while a boy in Hong Kong, he created Jeet Kun Do while here in the USA, really an MMA, Lee borrowed from many disciplines.

  13. Lee Hoi Cheun, his father, first taught him Wu style Tai Chi Chuan. Then he trained with a professional teacher Wing Chun Gung Fu from age 13–18. The man said to have the largest influence on Bruce's training was Wong Shun-Leung. He also learned Western boxing, winning championships, and then western fencing techniques from his brother. It was all of this diverse training that lead him to become the founder of the Jeet Kune Do combat philosophy.

In Seattle he opened the  "Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute", teaching Wing Chun Gung Fu modified to be Jun Fan Gung Fu (being his special little twist of the original).

It wasn't until 1965, after a match with Wong Jack Man, that Lee created his new 'style'. "The style of no style", he had called it. Jeet Kune Do or the Way of the Intercepting Fist.

Did you know that Bruce Lee, at one time, instructed Chuck Norris?

Anyway, the answer to your question is: Jeet Kune Do and the Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute
