Question:

What's more likely to happen the Cubs missing the playoffs or the Brewers missing the playoffs?

The Cubs haven't moved from 1st place in the Central for 5 months. They've also had the best record in the NL pretty much that entire time as well and had a few months with the best record in baseball. They're a team that is starting to play good on the road now as well which makes them that much more deadly.

The Brewers have pretty much held onto the #2 spot in the Central most of the year. They still have some troubles on the road. They're letting the Cubs gain more ground on them and while everyone in the Brewers organization claims everything is OK, nobody missed the shoving match between Prince Fielder and Manny Parra. Do they have what it take to hold off the Cardinals, Mets, Phillies and Marlins, whichever team may give them a run at the wild card.

  1. do you know how good the brewers are cc is like8-0 but they are goig to miss the playoffs

  2. Seriously Both teams will be in the Playoffs, Cubs 5 and Half games ahead of the Brewers, and The Brewers lead 2 Games on the Cardinals, and also have a 4 Game Lead on the Phillies and a 6 and half game lead on the Marlins.

Like I say The Cubs win the National League Central Division and The Brewers win the Wild Card, The Cardinals, Phillies and Marlins will be Missing the Playoffs and It will be more likely come September.

  3. I think that both make the play offs but the question is who goes farther but don't see neither team winning the World Series, the ultimate ending to a baseball season.

  4. its more likely that the brewers will miss the playoffs before the cubbys

  5. I'm thinking both teams will make it, but the Brewers have an easier chance of missing at the moment record-wise.

The Brewers have a huge scheduling advantage in September, so they could make up some ground easily.

Yes the Cubs have looked great on the road lately, but it's going to take more than a ten game stretch to show me they're a good road team.

  6. The Brewers

They are down and out of this race

Well its not over till its over but, they look dead, the way the Cubs just Killed them in that Series

EDIT: The Brewers are 5.5 Games back of the Cubs

and the Brewers are running out of time, too me, thats a large Decifit with about a Month of games left, and the Way the Cubs have been playing, there is no Way the Brewers are Taking that top spot

But, the Cubs do have two more Series with the Brew Crew, so anything can happen

  7. The Cubs and Brewers are both in.

But the Brew Crew by far

  8. Chicago's in. I think Milwaukee will get in but if it's between your 2 choices Milwaukee missing

  9. Even if the Brewers take the division (Which is totally unlikely) The Cubs will still have the Wild Card to fall back on.

Now, how many Brewer fans would like to have that cushion? Many that is. The Brewers have a 2 game lead over St Louis for the Wild Card. So they cant chill out and take it slow now.

So I will have to say Brewers missing the Playoffs is way more probable.

Edit: Dude, you are completely wrong. The Brewers have not held on to the 2nd place of NL Central for most of the season. I remember that there was a period of time where the Brewers were in last, yes I said it LAST, place. Being behind the Pirates and Reds Milwaukee is one of the most streakiest teams in the whole MLB. Now, St Louis had been giving the Cubs a run for their money for about half of the season. If there is a teaM that deserves to be called the Numebr 2 team its the Cardinals not the Brewers.

  10. the brew crew

  11. You have this insane fear of the Brewers! You are obsessed with them and the White Sox. Honestly, that is crazy.

Along with this silly question, the answer is pretty easy. The Cubs have a big lead on the Wild Card spot. It only makes sense that the Brewers have the tougher road to make the playoffs.

  12.             The Brewers

  13. Brew crew missing.

  14. Cubs: 77 - 48  -

    Brewers: 72 - 55   6 GB

    Cardinals: 70 - 58    8 1/2 GB

Yeah I think that pretty much speaks for itself since those are the best teams in the NL

Cubs are playing great baseball right now and I just dont see them collapsing

    go cubs!

  15. milwaukee misses
