It may not be a fortune or anything at all, but I have a bottle of Riunite Lambrusco dell' Emilia Soft, Semi-Dry Red Wine. I have no idea where or how to find out how old it is but I do know this is not a fresh bottle of wine. It's in great condition.....Any help?

  1. The value of a wine is determined by how much someone would be willing to pay for it.  Unfortunately, I don't think that your wine will fetch much of an asking price as it is an inexpensive, widely available wine meant for early drinking. In other words, a person would typically prefer to just buy a fresh bottle at the store of the current vintage.

You are better off opening it and if it is still good, enjoy.

By the way, it's technically illegal to sell liquor unless you have a license.  If you ever stumble across something that does have great value, it would need to be sold through an approved agency by consignment or an auction house.

    Cheers!

    Addendum:

The wine is probably best enjoyed now.  It will not gain from any further aging.  The vast majority of red and white table wines made in the world are intended for enjoyment within a year or two of release.  Only a select minority of wines will benefit from long term aging.  I hope that helps.

  2. If it says "Riunite," it's not worth much.  It may have even turned already.
