My 6 month old daughter is well into solids and has a very hearty appetite. So far she eats

Rice cereal

Fruit... pear, apple, banana, avocado,

Vegies... pumpkin, sweet potato, potato, zucchini, broccoli, carrot

And combinations of the above

I usually make her food but use the occasional jar which has also contained mango.

Any ideas on other good foods for her that are easy to prepare and store. I like to make things in advance.

Also she is dairy intolerent so no yoghurt or custard etc.

THanks

  1. How about letting her try some of what you are eating???

Look into baby-led weaning....it is awesome...you will be surprised at what your 6 month old can do to a piece of asparagus and a piece of bread..or a banana and piece of toast...give it a try...you will find it a little messy here and there but so much more fun to watch....

and rice cereal isn't needed either...try some real rice with steamed carrots or broccoli??? a BIG hit around here..

  2. peas and carrots are ez to store green beans you can buy sweet potatoes and pumpkin at the store so you could mix those broccoli and carrots.  I make peaches and strawberry's i even made beef and noodles for her just puree it well she loved that my daughter is dairy intolerant also and i am so tired of label reading i hope she comes out of it when she gets older she is 8 1/2 months now.
