Was that a "positive" loss for Juan Diaz? Meaning at this time in his career can he really learn from this loss to carry on since he is so young? He handled it really professionally. Anyone?

  1. i think he should get a rematch and i think he will win thev eye really botherd him

  2. Yes I think most people believe he is the better boxer of the two but he just didn't prove it in the ring that particular night. Unfortunately I don't forsee a rematch because of Juan Diaz splitting with Don King. I think King will make it as hard for Diaz as possible to get another title shot as long as one of his fighters holds the belt.

Diaz has already accomplished so much in beating some well known names in Freitas and Julio Diaz he is just on the verge of getting to the NEXT level. I believe that Campbell is just a stumbling block and he should go after Cassamayor or the winner of the David Diaz Manny Pacquaio match. Either way it would put him eventually into the mandatory spot for Campbell possibly forcing a rematch.

  3. i agree

  4. lol... knocked out? wtf? Diaz has a very good chin... i think he would take out manny pacquiao any day... just look at his style and Manny's style... Manny would be so out of sync, and even if Manny got Diaz, i doubt he would knock him out.... it'd be the other way around imho.... (Marquez shook him up a couple of times that last fight, which should have been a Pac-man loss) but W/e Diaz will mess up cambell next time they fight, then he will slap pacquiao all accross the ring

  5. Juan Diaz won't get another title shot for a long time after that loss. It proved to the world that he is not as good as everyone thinks he is. It's not a stumbling block but a defining block. When boxers are really tested by a good fighter, it shows their caliber.

If he ever fights David Diaz or Manny Pacquiao, he will be knocked out by either of them further exposing his quality against proven champions.

As for who got shook up (answer below), its plain and simple.

Marquez = 4 knockdowns, Pacman = 0 knockdown. No brainer.

  6. Diaz will definitely take the loss as a learning experience. He's young and will bounce back from it. It wouldn't surprise me if Diaz goes right after Campbell again without taking another fight first.
