  1. I like Seattle a lot. Lots to do and see.

  2. seaside oregon is the best costal city in oregon

  3. We just traveled it more within the last couple days. WA's Southern coast along HWY 101 is not overly impressive. A bit depressed looking, a lot of logging. It gets more impressive when you get to OR. Go through Astoria, stop and visit Haystack Rock off 101, Tillamook (great cheese factory if you like cheese, Tillamook Cheese Factory, and Blue Heron? i think), then check out Newport, Lincoln City, then Haceta Head Lighthouse (BEAUTIFUL area) and the sea lion caves, travel down and check out Bandon (which also has a cheese factory) and is a small fishing town, then check out the views of Port Orford (shipyards, coast, etc.) and MT. Humbug. Lovely beaches at Mt. Humbug and Haystack Rock.... water is freezing but we jumped in anyhow. Hope this helps. Enjoy your travels and lovely sunsets. Grab some dinner at a small fishing town and picnic it on the beach. Bring a jacket though, the evenings are chilly!

If you feel like going East in OR to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake it is a real treat. If you happen to go East in WA visit Mt. Rainer and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

Enjoy and drive safely....Word to note, the stretch of S. WA to Astoria can get boring and the roads are a little curvy.

  4. Sunsets

  5. In Oregon I would say Astoria. It's a beautiful little town with lots of history. There are state parks nearby, museums, etc. Newport, further down the coast is also popular. In the historic section you can go down to the bay, take a trip out to catch fish, etc. Depoe Bay has many shops, etc, and Lincoln City is popular for the casino and is the bigger of the towns along the coast.

It really depends on what you are wanting to do. Further North, between Lincoln City and Astoria there is some great surfing and pretty beaches.
