you used to not like at all but you have kind of changed your mind on now and why?

***for me it's none other than Kyle Busch....now don't get me wrong he's still not my favorite by any means (and I'm not bashing) BUT ..I have learned to respect him for his talent and even if I don't like to admit it but when he is on his "good behavior" I respect him even more (and alot of this is from his die hard fans on here that have shown me that there is more to him than mets the eye!! so you all should pat yourselves on the back haha LOL)

  1. Yeah, those die hard bandwagon fans sure do make the ride fun. I noticed his talent while he was at HMS but he seemed a little uptight. Joe Gibbs let's him play, and it has been fun to see him flourish. Kasey Kahne was kind of getting on my nerves, but i'm extremely happy for the comeback he has made this season. So I guess Kasey Kahne is "one driver that.....?????"

  2. Mine is Tony Stewart. I could not stand him for a couple years. Sometimes the things he says on camera still make me shudder. But, watching how he laughs and behaves with the other drivers, and reading about all the things he does for charity as put him in a whole new light for me.

The other one that I have started to come around to is Kurt Busch. I never disliked him, but I was just indifferent to him. I enjoy his smile and easy on camera wit now. I am also rooting for him to get his season turned around.

  3. Gotta say Shrub, the kid is gooooood

  4. Jeff Gordon

But now he is team mates with Jr I see him in a hole new light.

Even if 5 years down the road and they go to seprate teams I think I will still like him.

    Go Dale Jr. 88

  5. Kevin Harvick. When he first came into Nascar, he was immature idiot, now he has turned out to be pretty good. I mean, i don't want him to win because he drives a chevy, but i like him personally now. He has changed a lot to me in my opinion

  6. Mine is Kurt Busch. When I started watching NASCAR, I thought he was a complete ***hole, but lately he's chilled out, and although he's not my favorite, he is starting to creep towards my top 5 favorite drivers.

  7. Jeff Gordon...he seemed to settled down now thta it is later in his career and has a child who is 1 as of today!

  8. I used to not like Robby Gordon or was on the fence but now I like him. Hard to be an owner/driver and he's doing pretty good.

  9. I use to like Denny, but don't care much for him now. Some of the things he has said in interviews turned me off.

  10. I used to think that Kurt Busch was a big ole butthead. (Sorry, Superdave.) Now he seems like a pretty good guy. Always thought that he could wheel a car - I just didn't like his attitude. I'm not sure which one of us has mellowed out - maybe both of us? : )

  11. Oh, anyone with the guts to atleast say they're 'indifferent' towards Jr. is a hero of mine. I've never liked that overrated weasel-faced punk... I can't say I reallllly dislike him now; he's grown on me... but he's still my least favorite.

I'd say Juan Pablo Montoya. Last year, I didn't like him because he was too aggressive, had a funny accent and he seemed like a jerk... then not so long ago, he was invited on Trackside... I TOTALLY changed. He turned out to be the funniest driver and nicest guy ever, and now this year he's involved in less crashes and becoming a more respectable racer.

Juan Pablo Montoya, my 4th fav. =p

  12. It'd have to be Junior. I'm just being honest Junior Nation when I say I didn't like what his dad did to Terry Labonte, Geoff Bodine and DW.

I rooted against Jr. just to make his old man's fans who followed to Jr. mad.

Then I learned more about who he is as a person. He handles the glare of the spotlight with grace, endures the "overrated" tag with patience, and has a soft spot for terminally ill kids. That hits close to home because I had a brother in that category.

Junior's a d**n fine racer and he's just his own guy. I even came around on Dale Sr. the person, though I didn't like Sr. the racer.

I've also learned to appreciate Harvick, Smoke and Robby to the point I no longer truly dislike ANY driver, although it would be rare that I root for these guys.

Junior is now my favorite behind the #24, Edwards, Labonte, and Mark Martin.

  13. Juan Pablo Montoya too. I use to not like him because his English was bad, but then I saw an interview with him too and he was getting better at English. In addition, I think he has learned now what is excepted in Nascar and respects the rest of the boys.

Furthermore, the boy can drive the heck out of a car on a road course!

  14. I can honestly say that I've flopped around with my opinion of Dale Jr. more than a dying fish fresh out of the pond.

I originally liked him, then I despised him, then I was just indifferent, then I kinda liked him a little, now I'm back to not really caring for him all that much again, next week, who knows, depends on my mood and what I read about him on the forum that tends to be my biggest decision on how I feel about him.

*warning, this is not going to be a popular answer*

  15. Kasey Kahne...I think he can drive great even with average equipment. I wonder what he'd be like if he was on JGR or Hendrick, but he's doing great with what he has anyway. So I respect his talent at least, and he has a pretty good personality.

I am very very slowly coming around to Juan Pablo and Robby Gordon. I kind of like Greg Biffle now, also

  16. Mine would be Tony Stewart. Back in the day he was all about whinning. Then when he felt someone took him out of the race he was all about being in your face. What probably changed my mind is when he won the championship and brought a camera to the banquet and was snapping back at the photographers. I still didn't care for him all that much but did kind of see the style of driver that he is. He's a driver that makes this sport intesting. I guess now he thinks before he says things. I'm thinking that he probably took some anger management classes somewhere along the way.

  17. For me it is Jeff Gordon. NEVER liked him when he was such a cry baby. REALLY disliked him after he won the Championship the year Dale Sr. died.

Now I am warming up to him since he has matured and has proven that he is a real racer...not a flash in the pan. He's one of the nicest ones in the garage too. So I find myself rooting for him sometimes.

Funny...Kyle Busch was always in my top 5 for years but not my favorite...and Dale Jr. was. I still have a ton of Dale Jr. stuff packed away. Now it's switched around for the last few years. I don't dislike dale...not at all...but Kyle is my favorite and I absolutely love to watch him race!!

  18. I used to hate Dale Jarret. But over the last few years of his career, I began to like him. He was never my favorite, but I wanted to see him do good and had hoped that he would win one last race in the last couple of years of his career.

  19. Jeff Gordon. When he started out, he was arrogant: ME ME ME...Look what I did...I won...I didn't like his attitude at all. He has changed a lot. Now he thanks his team, etc. for all they do. He recognizes he's not doing it all alone. I have learned to tolerate him, not taking a thing away from his awesome talent. My husband is a die-hard Gordon fan, and me, we all know I am a die-hard Jr. fan, so race day is really FUN at my house!

    Go Jr.>>>>

  20. Clint Bowyer, never liked the guy til recently.

  21. Kyle Busch I didn't like him but now I am starting to come around.

  22. For me it's Martin Truex Jr. I just thought he was a spoiled kid that fell into a good thing, but is a good racer, and he is good to his fans.

  23. denny hamlin

  24. Terry Labonte ever since he retired.

I used to his biggest fan!!!!!!!!

    It's kinda the oppisite...

Casey Mears since he won the Coca Cola 600.

    That one's better.

There is NO WAY to please you people huh lol

  25. Dale Jr. and Juan Pablo Montoya. Dale Jr. because I got to know more about him from watching and reading interviews. I also like the way he conducted himself in the whole transition process from DEI to HMS. Juan has grown on me starting last year. He is such a competitor that I can respect his passion for driving and wanting to be competitive. I didn't like the fact that he wrecked so many of the veterans last year but now he seems to be in much better control of his car. With decent equipment he would be a force to be reckoned with. He's actually pretty funny and I think he just started off on the wrong foot.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  26. Its Jeff Gordon for me. I disliked the guy a bunch when Rusty was racing. It seemed like every time I turned around Jeff was spinning him around like a helicopter. But as the years have gone on Ive realized what a talent that he really is and I have finally admitted that he will go down as one of the if not the best Nascar has ever seen.

  27. Kurt Busch. I like him a lot better now, but wish he drove for an American owned company.
