What's one thing you wish you could change about your race?

Me. I wish African Americans didn't have all these negative effects from having ancestors who were enslaved. As a matter of fact, it would have been the best case scenario if we weren't enslaved at all.

I wish some black people would stop acting like they are still enslaved, and strive for an education, and stop watching c**p like Jerry Springer and Maury. We as a race are so much better than that, we went from being considered property and the equivalent to a cow or a chair, to being equals. I just wish the young people now a days could see what we came from and be proud. Oh! and I wish we could exterminate the word N****r. I think its one of the worst things you could call someone else, and I hate it when I even see parents calling their children that. It makes me want to cry. Ignorance is the worst thing imaginable.

I wish my race would quit accepting hip-hop. Its not good for us.

I wish some people of my race would stop calling each other the "N" word and act like civilized people. I aslo wish we could stop all the self hatred like light skin vs. dark skin. It's just not worth it. I feel we should stick together.

I wish we didn't adhere so well to racial/ethnic stereotypes. Wish we were more advanced as a people and aim for higher things in life instead of just living pay check to pay check just to afford new pick up trucks and plasma screens.

You say you wish that your race weren't enslaved because of all the negative effects it's had. Well, how would you feel about being a part of a race that did that to people? Personally I wish the Europeans, my ancestors, hadn't been so barbaric and ruthless. This world would've been a much better place.

To be honest, I wish that (generally speaking) that whites will leave other cultures alone and not try to "save" them by bring them "civilization". Many non-white cultures already have their own laws and ways of doing things, and those should be respected in my view. I'm talking about past and present cultures and societies.
