  1. a clock for the room.

  2. Me.

  3. i always take  sanitary pads with me because they cost so much on the boat and you only get a few in the package and only one type. my husband takes his portable blood pressure machine with him .and we take a container of Crystal lite with us so we have something to drink in our room with out going all over the ship to get something to drink . you may laugh but they  charge you for the bottle water and thing so until we go off the boat to go shopping on land like walmart and stuff we take some from home first than we buy some in the stores because the soda card are not worth it for us since we don't drink that much soda.

  4. house slippers because there are so many different germs in and out the rooms floor.

  5. Writing instruments, particularly pens. Pens are not provided on any cruise ship I've been on, and the pencils they have at trivia sessions are pretty feeble.  Unless you bring your own pen, you have to buy one at the gift shop, at their rate.  I bring several on board, and use them to write postcards or notes to my cabin stewardess, such as "More shampoo please" or "maybe I please get an extra blanket".

  6. All of the above plus an extra swimsuit.

They never dry when hanging up in the bathroom and who likes putting on a wet swimsuit?

Also, mark the handles of your luggage with brightly colored ribbon, yard or plastic marking flags.  There will be a sea of mostly black luggage when you disembark and the flags make it easier to find!

  7. 2 things that I thought were great to have

1-antibacterial wipes. Wipe the whole stateroom down when you enter. Wipe door k***s, and especially the remote control for the TV. You never know what germs are still there

2-Camel bak- Take fresh water from the cruise ship for your exursion. You know you will have good drinking water with you for the whole day and you can wear it on your back. Of course there is some storage for your sunscreen, money, passports etc.

  8. An Insulated Coffee Mug!!!  The sizes of the coffee cups provided at the buffets are small and I prefer a large cup of  coffee to take with me anywhere on ship. Its a real relaxing treat to have a cup of coffee on the top deck before the crowds get up to watch the sunrise at sea.

  9. Post it notes - and Thank-you Cards.

Post it's are great to leave if you need extra shampoo in your cabin or anything else for your room steward.

And I can't tell you how much the waiters and room stewards appreciate a simple hand written thank-you card.

  10. One Unique Item........

    An extension cord

Most cruise cabins only have 1 outlet and most people have several electrical items that they carry with them.  An extension cord will give you more outlets and you can put them where you want them since the one outlet in the room is sometimes in an inconvinient location.

  11. a shoe holder that you hang on the door.i use the differnt holders to put my camera, hair brush, lotions etc in instead of it scattered all around

and a high lighter so you can highlight what you want to do in the cruise paper

  12. a nite lite if you have a inside cabin is nice, and a watch or other time piece is helpful, as you won't be using your cell phone
