  1. I think you're asking what a 2 handicap is?  A 2 handicapper is a very good golfer.  An average handicap is around 19.  So...A 2 handicapper would 'spot' a 19 handicapper 17 strokes for an 18 hole match.  Tiger Wood's handicap would be somewhere near a plus 7 or 8.  This means he would give the 2 handicapper about 10 strokes. Hope that helps.

  2. Handicap is a way to compare golfers from many levels and many courses.  A 2 handicap says the 10 lowest of the last 20 rounds, based on the course difficulty, is about 3 or 4 over the par for the course, on average.  So they would shoot 72 - 77 on most good courses.  Some rounds would be lower, not many higher.

  3. THAT MEANS YOU ARE SHOOTING, ON AVERAGE OVER YOUR LAST 3 OR 4 ROUNDS, 2 SHOTS OFF PAR. PAR IS WHAT THE GOLF PRO OR DESIGNER OF THE COURSE FEELS THE HOLE SHOULD BE SHOT IN.

  4. When people play golf each has a handicap to even things out.The idea is that anyone can play anyone else and have a competitive game.

The better the player, the lower the handicap.

If someone with a handicap of 2 played someone with a handicap of 10 then they would have to give that person 8 shots over the round of golf. It's a bit like a head start. The shots are taken off at designated holes.

Each time you play at a club your score is counted and if you consistently play well your handicap comes down untill it's zero , or 'scratch' .At which point you wake up and have your cornflakes.

2 is a very low handicap for a normal player .A beginner starts at 20.

    Hope this helps a little.
