  1. Well, I'm not positive of exactly what you're asking but will give it a shot.

    By definition bipartisan is two-party or two-way and duopoly, in political terms, is preponderant influence or control by two political powers.  In a 2-party system, bipartisan comes to refer to any action (bill, act, etc.) where both of the major political parties are in agreement.  The United States is often referred to as a duopoly and/or a two-party system and some call it a bipartisan duopoly.  This is not really surprising to me, as this attitude is encouraged.

    It's most unfortunate that many tend to think of the bipartisan duopoly as inevitable, unshakable, and everlasting because that belief is false.  I guess they have forgotten about the Greens and the Blues.

    How would a bipartisan duopoly system work if the country were in the hands of a minority as opposed to a majority?  That's a good question.  I don't know.  I suppose it would work something like if the Green or Independence party won the Presidential election in the U.S. instead of the Democrats or Republicans.
