What is the difference between Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil?

  1. Extra virgin olive oil is the oil that first comes out of the olives when at the press. It is olive oil in its purest form and has the most pungent taste. Regular olive oil has been chemically processed so that the flavour is not as strong.
