What's "The Clap"?

um so far ive gotten std, tennis move, and outlet thing?

woah...i heard my friends talking about "the clap" and how hardcore it was and i aske what it was but they laughed

THe only thing even remotely related to "the clap" and volleyball is after the team "brings it in" and you cheer on three, typically everyone does a clap.  

Like - 1 - 2 - 3...  TEAM!  *CLAP*

I've joked around with people and said "That was weak.  It was like a C- clap"

Other than that, the STD is pretty much the only thing that I would think of but referring to "the clap" is more of a 70's term and I can't see your team meaning that.

The clap is an STD.

I believe it is referring to clymedia.

EDIT: I don't know why I got a thumbs down. The clap refers to an STD. I was wrong though it is actually gonorrhea.

Everyone is stupid. A Clap is when your teammate does and aces, then the whole team goes to the middle and claps wtice "Clap, Clap,"and goes back to their posistion. Our coach would make us do that.

It's an STD, but from the context you gave, I'm not sure if that's what your friends were talking about.

Recommendation: Beat one of them up until they tell you.

Is the clap referring to volleyball or a volleyball move. I play varsity and I don't know what your talking about.

It's the most common STD called gonorrhea.  Not good.  Doctor visit needed a.s.a.p.!!  Very treatable and easily prevented (condom).

its the thing you plug into a wall outlet then anything you plug into the clap from that outlet will turn on or off when you clap twice.*edit* since the sense of sarcasm was not picked up I guess I should tell you the clap is an std, gonorrhea...its one of the most common stds one can get.
