  1. Champagne, a bubbly alcoholic specific sparkling wine, is a drink with alcohol that is known for its quick "drunken" feeling to the body.  When Champagne goes to your head, it means you are quite dizzy from just one drink and well on your way to a hangover if you are not careful.

When you get a compliment, that compliment may increase and inflate your ego intensely and quickly.  That is a perfect example of somethng going to your head.

You are caught up in the revelrie so quickly because it is fun and exciting that you forget who or where you are.

It's like a little devil getting in your head and planting a seed, if it grows quickly you become possessed with whatever the thought is.

  2. It means like you're getting caught up in it.
