What's rent like in Paris?

Yes, i'm talking money-wise & locations. Hoping to get a fresh start in Paris. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

expensive!!!you should try a little outside paris, with the puclic transportation it's really easy to get there!

To rent a flat in Paris, it is about 700 euros for a flat of about 30 square meter, only a rom. Kind of student place !

Price can rise quite high, 1000 euros for 40 square meters, separated bedrom, bathrom and a kitchen/dining room.

Don't forget expenses like electricity, water, heating, common areas cleaning/repairing and also local taxes to the city (are depending of your income and have to be paid for the year if you live in the flat the 1st of january).

And if you ask help from firm to rent a flat it can cost the equivalent amount of a month rent.

Phone can be "cheap" with internet /tv/phone provider at about 30 euros per month (pho,e fre of charge to about 50 foreign country to domestic phone (not mobile phone).

Rent in Paris is very expensive... you have to go do 'rent-bargain hunting'...

it's one of the most expensive cities in the world... watch out!
