What's so bad about underage drinking?

As long as you are not on the road or doing something life threatening while/after drinking, I have no problem with it, I just hate drunk drivers, my friend died in a crash back in April, so I know first hand, so don't drink and drive, but I could care less if you drink.

i think that a 16 year old can be as mature, if not more mature, than a 21 year old. laws are made to be broken, and if you are being safe, i say go for it ;D

when i was your age i thought the same thing... a group of my friends rolled a car.. my friend flew out of the car and cracked his head open and can now barely use his right hand.. my friend, the driver was in jail for 3 years... most underage drinkers think they are bullet proof and seem to lack the ability to, make good decisions while under the influence...  i would also say they associate drinking with partying most underage drinkers dont have a drink to wind down they drink do get drunk(i assume your not drinking vodka cause you like the taste) .alot of my friends still dont make good decisions i have several friends who have recentl gotten dui's... my friend crashed his car while drunk last week, broke three ribs and punctured his lung.. "Vodka all the time"  isnt a cool thing..

It's not about how well you do in school.

It's suppost to teach you ethics and morals

Dont do anything stupid either, like get in a car when you've been drinking even THOUGH you think that you are in-destructable fact is you aint.

I highly doubt a 16 year old is more mature then a 21 year old unless they have no life.. being under 18 is about having fun as when alot of people hit 21/18 your responsibilities will skyrocket.

I was actually talking to a friends mom about this a while ago (I know it sounds lame), but she told me that she used to drink before going to school too, like on lunch break, but once she graduated she tried going out into the working world and was fired from 2 different jobs for showing up with booze in her belly. After I heard her speech i saved my drinking for the evenings...even if it was still six nights a week.

your brain cells are not completely grown until u r 21 and underage drinking KILLS those cells in your brain that you can never in your life get bak! and you get messed up with something for the rest of your life like ciirosis and my friend just died from that i and i am so sad!

Yea im right there with you 14 year old boy, and an alcholic. I do good in sports, have a very happy social life with girls, and technically a genius. I know when to stop, and not to drive and not get in a car wiht a drunk driver.

And not to have drunk unprotected s*x ;).
