  2. There is no drama in it.  People today want drama, and if everyone lived in a world of peace, love and understanding, then they would be bored instead of running around in glee over war, poverty, natural disasters, politics, etc.

      We have become such a sick society we can't enjoy anything unless it is at the demise of other people.  Sad but true.  Can I have my Valium now?
