What's so special about mac cosmetics???

seems like alotta ppl are really passionate about mac i guess i might as well try it..i cant pick a best answer so i'm putting this q to vote! thank y'all for taking the time to answer my question. xx

EVERYTHING... i don't care about the foundation i like the powder it gives you a good mat finish (i don't use it i use bare/minerals but i like it) but the eye shadow i love.. they just go on so perfect and the colors pop. and i love there lip gloss to... its just wear a lot better than any other brand.

omg i ask the same thing! i swear all teh clerks who work there look scary bc they wear waaaaaay too much make up, they look like clowns honestly. I think mac is only good for runway because its too vibrant for everyday life.

i got a make over there and i thought it looked gross, my face felt heavy from all teh c**p they put on it.

umm well there more expensive and they like stay on better and they are better quality.  they last longer than cheap brands

I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard a rumor that they messed up on the makeup and now it causes zits. But here are some reasons why people might shop there:

1. They like the look

2. It's expensive, which gives an illusion that it's better quality

3. Everyone else is (although I find more people probably shop at drugstores and Sephora for their makeup than they shop at Mac)

MAC cosmetics are for someone who loves all glittery, bright, stuff. It gives you that Barbie look, its very fresh. And it smells nice. It also expensive which must mean its good lol .

mac is very pigmented, better for your skin, very good quality, looks better than cheap drugstore cosmetics.

MAC cosmetics are used on celebrities and professionals. They're special because the quality is very high and the effects (when done right) are astounding.

I have never found foundation to match my skin so well as the MAC brands. My only complaint is that it does smudge easily so don't hug someone with a white shirt!

Other than that, the eyeshadows are by far the best features. When you mix and blend, you have some LOVELY effects, but make sure the professionals teach you how to do it.

i don't think theres really special about it, its way too expensive and i think max factor is just as good if not better and you don't have to go to a expensive department store to get it.

Fuller coverage that doesn't look gross if you apply it right, trendy eyeshadow colors that stay on the lids, and great eyeliner i think it's called fluid line or something like that. Also they have gorgeous sales reps that can sell it, and the brushes....oh man, i love their brushes.

also, i think they discontinue a lot of good products, making people want it more.
