What's some cheap drugstore makeup....

I'm going to Walmart on the weekend and I was wondering what is some cheap makeup there that you have tried that works really good?

cheap makeup leaves you with bad skin! you can definitely get cheap eye shadow, lip gloss, and lip liner.. but becareful when you buy moisturiser, foundation and concealor.. most cheap brands cause skin irritation and break outs..nyc has good lip liners for like 99 cents that work great.. revlon lip gloss are the best..coz they stay on for long.. but they cost around 5 bucks.. and any cheap eye shadow works..try wet n' wild and nyc..they are the cheapest

I agree with orange...

Walgreen's has a much larger selection of beauty products and they are of higher quality.

I would suggest all natural brands such as Burt's Bees.

Since they are plant-derived, you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals that clog your pores and cause breakouts.

I would also suggest mineral makeup, it's a bit more pricey, but definitely worth it. If you don't want to go out of your way and splurge for Bare Escentuals, Sheer Cover, KMS, etc., you can try Physician's Formula or Everyday Minerals. I believe they are even available at drugstores. The L'Oreal, Maybelline, etc. stuff is c**p and I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on it. And remember, DO NOT use cheap liquid or cream foundations, no matter how nice they look when you apply them. These products are okay for a couple of hours, but when they are worn all day every day, they can cause serious damage to your skin. Just stay away from them.

As for eye makeup, you don't have to worry about buying drugstore products because in that case, you don't have to worry about clogged pores and acne resulting from the product. I personally really like Max Factor products, particularly their mascara. (Volume Couture is MAGICAL.) I used the more expensive mascaras such as Clinique and Lancome for quite a while, until I discovered that drugstore mascaras can work just as well.

Well, you could get NYC, it's fairly cheap, and it works okay. They have all the other novelty brand too, like Covergirl, Mabeliene, Rimmel, and etc. Rimmel has amazing eye shadows, and great lip gloss.

I don't know if you have a swapmeet nearby but I usually go there the NYX not NYC is the best cheap makeup the eyeshadows are really pigmented and if you use a cheap base like an icing eye crayon or any eye pencil they will stay on all day, they are usually like $3 each you can also find them online for like a dollar more, but if wallmart is your only stop then I'd go for NYC , Wet n Wild, or even Covergirl

i use NYC liquid eyeliner, and it works great, wears off after several hours of wear, but works great for an evening  only about 2 bucks !

NYC- i like it. I've always used their black eyeliner and their face powder. They have different colored eyeliners too in pretty colors, like light blue and purple or greens. I tried their waterproof mascara before and I didn't like it, it was impossible to get off and clumpy. Mascara you're going to be better off splurging on.

There is also Wet n' Wild, Bonnebelle is good for chapsticks, they have a Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen line that isn't too pricey and also Rimmel isn't too expensive.

Well the cheepest mascara is Greatlash! they have recently added more kinds of mascara! I really wanted to try the Clear mascara, but I have just the regular and Waterproof. The water proof is Great!

Cover girl is about as inexpensive as you can get. but still pretty expensive. I personally prefer Neutrogena but that brand is EXPENSIVE, but if you wanna look good and have cheap makeup it might not be that easy. just don't buy all the make up at once and save up for the more efficient brands.

I order makeup from there all the time. Most of their products are only $1 and they work great.  But they also have mineral makeup, which is good for your skin. The mineral makeup is more expensive than their other products, but it's still a lot cheaper than most places.

You should sign up for their email list, because they'll send you lots of coupons.

Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost or Great Lash if you want it even cheaper

Rimmel London kohl eyeliner or professional liquid eyeliner is the best. Otherwise Wet & Wild is doable for $2 if you have a good sharpener.

Wet & Wild lipstick is good for me, it goes on smooth and it lasts well.

It's cheap and effective.

Maybelline Great Lash mascara is the best and cheapest out there.

Maybelline line is a tad bit more pricy then Wet N' Wild, but with more quality. Its my favourite, I recommend their Dream Matte Mousse collection, especially their foundation, concealer, and powder.

As for nail polish, blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, go for Wet N' Wild.

Jergens self-tanner is good.

And covergirl eyeliner is my fave!

It depends on where you live.

CVS has a good special going on right now (week of august 6th 2008)

You can get some covergirl makeup, buy one, get one free.

I personally use that brand and its very good.

If you have time to waste. I'd recommend trying this..

It's a program where you can download your picture (take a couple of hours tho for them to prepare your picture for the program)

and you enter your info, such as your skin type and they recommend the best products for you from their collections.

You just need to open an account by clicking on the "try on makeup as you browse this site' tab under the CoverGirl logo.
