  2. It depends on what you are already feeding him.  Many water turtles enjoy flower blooms, too (some folks keep a garden for this purpose), such as the dandelion (as well as the leaves, which are good for them).

    Google turtle safe blossoms, but make sure the flowers you use have not been fertilized or sprayed with an insecticide.

    Fruit as a treat, won't hurt him.  Offer a piece of pear, apple, orange wedge (remove seeds), etc, or even shredded carrot, if that is not part of his regular diet.

    I'm sure you'll find something to tempt him with.  Each turtle is different, and has individual preferences.
