What's that bug?

Question

I just found this ugly bug in my room, it looked as thought it could fly. It must have came through my window. It's body itself was about an inch long dark brown black color, and it was hard. It had really long, I mean like 2 inch long antennas. And about 4-8 legs. I killed it right away, and it was making like a squeaky noise as I was squishing it. Don't ask me to take a picture, I flushed the remains. But, I never seen a bug like this! Do you know what it is, and have a link with pictures, so I can find out? Thanks!

Just a variety of beetle or "borer".  There are millions of them. Have you read that we spend our entire lives within 6 feet of a spider.  It's true.  The bugs are everywhere and we have to accept them.
