You are looking at something or hearing something. Your heart beats moderately faster, your breathing is uneven, you feel choked but nothing physically is choking you. Your brain is in fright, but there is little blood rushing. You can't breath. But when you turn away from whatever is causing it, your suddenly feel relaxed, until you turn your back to it again.

What is this anxiety feeling?

  1. These are symptoms of psychoneurosis.  The throat, lungs and heart are all 'organs of expression' - the lungs allow you to shout out, for example.  So it seems in cases of neurosis, the body 'closes up' - it thinks it's doing you a big favor by keeping you from "shouting out".

It's an anxiety orientation - who knows why.  It's very uncomfortable, as you know. It's unpleasant and unfair.  You didn't do anything to deserve it - but there it is.

It has a cause - try to find somebody to talk to who isn't trying to feed you dope.  That somebody is hard to find these days - all the doctors are pushing dope because they don't know what's going on either.

Read about neurosis, psychoneurosis, anxiety attack, panic attack on the Net.  Take lots of notes and see if you can discover the origin of this thing, and good luck.
