  1. Hey there,

    Bb Scale = Bb  C D Eb   F G A Bb

So that was simple and to the point.... Does not matter which flute you play, it is all the same

  2. It depends.

The major Bb scale for anything is: Bb-C-D-Eb-F-G-A-Bb

However, the concert Bb scale for a flute in the key of Bb would be: C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C

  3. The scale advise you've receive is correct.  However, I question your having a Bb flute.  I've been a band director for 20 years and have never seen a Bb flute.  I'm sure one exists but it would be rare.  Play a Bb on your flute and then a Bb on piano.  If its the same note then you have a C flute, which is the most common.  If when you play a Bb on you flute and you have to play an Ab on the piano to match pitch, then you do have a Bb flute.  What you might have is a flute with a B foot, which means that it is a C flute with an extra key allowing you to extend your lowest note to a B instead of the normal low C.
