What's the Difference Between Moderators and Owners?

What's the difference between moderators and owners in Y! Groups and which one has more authority?

The owner is the person who starts the group and is the only person who can do whatever s/he wishes with the group. S/he may appoint up to 15 moderators with varying degrees of power, a full moderator with all the privileges, can do anything the owner garnts him/her. Here is more info about mods and owners:

on some groups they are the same.  On some others they may have an owner but have someone that really runs it and is the moderator.====

The owner decides how much authority the moderators have.

If the group gets too much for one person, make some others moderators.

There will be times idiots join you group and it is handy to have trusted people that can edit or delete SPAM messages, approve messages for people that are on probation for swearing, or whatever.

If you want a break or things get too busy in the real word, you can give more authority or even ownership to someone else.

If the OWNER leaves the group, the group gets deleted sometimes.

the owner created the group and has full access to group settings w/o limits- then they can make a moderator and limit their priviledges- a moderator helps run the group, but does not own that group

the owner has more Privilege to group & the mods have only what the owner Alloys them, mostley approve members/ messages/ delete messages/ mods cant DELETE group. Also the owner does colors to the group ( group settings ) unless the mod is givin Almost full resposiblity, No matter what, no mod can delete group

The owner always has more authority,  they can appoint and/ or remove moderators as they wish.   A n owner is the individual who founds the group, moderators come later.
