What's the Difference between Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Vice City Stories?

Gta Vice city stories is a prequel to Vice City showing how Vic Vance(and Lance Vance to some extent) take control of the city. By working for the major crime syndicates and then eliminating them Victor Vance becomes rich enough to help his ill younger third brother and to have some for himself.

Vice city picks up with Vic in the first cutscene, Tommy vercetti is sent by sonny Forelli to seal a drug deal with Vic however its a set up with Forelli hoping to take control of Vice city's organized crime by eliminating his two major threats Tommy and Vic. Vic is killed and Tommy narrowly escapes. He then goes on to find out where the money that was lost is and who set him up. It is later revealed that Lance worked with Forelli since the start betraying Tommy and the deceased Vic.

The ending of Vice city stories runs with Vic taking an Army chopper since he was part of the army at the beginning of the story and attacking the headquaters of the major crime brothers in downtown vice city. He also murders Jerry Martinez - the corrupted army general who has made a bad name for the forces based in vice city.

The ending of Vice city reveals that Lance betrayed Tommy and Sonny set him up in the first place. Tommy chases after lance and guns him down on the roof. Sonny is then killed at the bottom of the estates large stairwell. Tommy is left to talk with ken rosenburg about the future of his vice city empire.

lol not much just to different storylines and i think two different characters lol but has the same features and same everything else and vice city is better

Vice City has a longer storyline. Vice City Stories has a shorter storyline but unique gameplay added. I won't tell you because I don't want to ruin it.
