  1. The hospitality, the cousine, and for those who live abroad or have lebanese heritage, the strong nationalism that keep them togheter and make them to be well known as a comunities...but in the case or lebaneses in lebanon nationalism and sectarism are not good cause in someway is the cause of the internal conflicts....

  2. The best Lebanese traditions that need to be passed to future generation are  "how to fill emmigration forms" and "how to pack your arguileh, coffee thermos and breakfast for when you wait long hours in a line full of people trying to get into the embassy of your future country"

  3. you cant miss any traditions. we are best well known for our debkah... no country could top that.

  4. The Lebanese way of doing hospitality ...it is unique , embracing , compelling ,  warm & I just love it !

  5. The was they live their life, and don't want to miss a second of life entertainment.

  6. Raw meat!

  7. "Aussie" is absolutely correct...hospitality is how I remember my Lebanese experience.

Tabbouleh is also a great answer: the best tabbouleh I've ever had is in Lebanese homes and Lebanese restaurants (like The Lebanese Tavernas in the Washington DC area)...mostly parsley, and then a little bulgur, lots of lemon juice, etc.

But 'arnabeet' has to be my favorite Lebanese dish (because I don't eat meat...).

And of course, several glasses of arak, a few Almaza beers and some Turkish coffee afterwards.

May Lebanon never lose its role as The Paris of Near East and a land where Christian, Druze and Muslim live in peace and harmony.

  8. Tabboulleh.
