What's the advantages of buying electrical goods on a Credit Card?

Someone told me the other day that it's safer to buy your electrical goods on a credit card but didn't really explain why.

Anyone know?

Insurance.

If you buy by credit card, and something goes wrong with the product, and if you get "no joy" from the retailer. The credit card company will take over from you and `sort the retailer out`.

Definitely use a card if you opt for the insurance. My brother just lost everything in a fire including his PS3. Best Buy told him since he paid cash and didnt have a reciept there was no record of his insurance
