What's the age limit for someone to compete in the Winter Olympics -specifically figure skating?

I know you have to be at least 16, but I've heard that you also can't be any older than 24 to compete in ladies figure skating in the WInter Olympics. Is that true? Or is there an upper bound limit as well?

  1. You have to turn sixteen within the year the Olympics are held. I don't think there is an age too old, it's just that many people lose their skills the older they get.
