  1. You must be 16 years old or older to fly the helicopter solo (by yourself), 17 to get a Private Pilot's license and 18 years old to get a Commercial Pilot's (and Flight Instructor's license)


  2. First, it's a certificate.  It's 16 to solo, and 17 to get your private.

  3. there is no limit to start training but to do your required solo flight you have to be 16 and 17 to actually get your license.
