I'm thinking about getting my Masters degree there, and just wondering. I am quite aware how expensive it is, but I just want an average estimate please. :)

  1. Hey,

Obtaining your Master's Degree in London is a daunting task to go through, as there is much involved. Passports, Student Visa/Entry Clearance, about 6 photos, fingerprinting, application, transcripts, letters of recommendation, resume, etc. In terms of money, it depends what university you decide to attend.

International Students pay a hefty price for tuition and accommodation. I attend a University of London insitution and one year of tuition and accommodation (self-catering non-ensuite: which means I buy my own food and share a bathroom with 5 people, makes it cheaper!) cost me $32,000 USD, I'm an American. This does not include the airfare, books, travel money for the Underground and buses, food, money to go out at night, movies etc. The amount you need for these things depend on the type of person you are, i.e. not a big eater, dont like to drink or go out much etc.

Remember the British Pound is worth 1.99 USD, so everything is worth double. The Pound is also worth more then the Euro as well.
