What's the average 400m and 800m time?

Question

For someone that is use to doing 100m in around 15 seconds and is just starting middle distance.

I got-

400m: 1:35

800m: 4:11

I'm guessing your talking about track even though its in the swimming catagory. To know the average time i need your age and gender. If your a middle school girl (12-14) your okay i guess. If your a middle school boy you REALLY need to work on your times. Im in m.s. and im a girl, my 400 time is like a 1:18 or 1:19 and my 800 time is 3:00 but those aren't very good times. (I'm a mile runner)

well even though this category is for swimmers i also am a track runner. if you are a girl a :55 to 1:10 is a good 400m time and 2:10 to 2:30 is a good 800m time. for boys any thing under a :56 is good for a 400m, and anything under 2:15 is good for an 800m for me(im a guy) state cut for the 800m is 1:58 and state cut for 400m is around :50 (these are HIGH  SCHOOL TIMES!)

mine was: 3minutes and 16 seconds for the 800,

but it just depends on the swimmer

ive been swimming since i was little, and ive had lots of practice

wow . when i waz 11 i got a 12.93 in 100, 1.06 in 400, and 2.36 in the 800
